Ovarian Transposition

Ovarian Transposition is a procedure that can be performed in an outpatient setting. The woman's ovaries are surgically moved higher into the abdomen to be out of reach of the radiation field. This limits exposure and damage to the ovaries during cancer treatments. This procedure can also be performed laparoscopically, which does not require a hospital stay.
