Excluded from the IVF payment:
Initial consultation, pretreatment semen analysis and laboratory tests
such as HIV and hepatitis screening, Intracytoplasmic sperm injection
(ICSI), the Uterine Mapping Procedure, and embryo freezing.
Additional fees may be necessary for laparoscopic ooctye retrieval and other unforeseen supplies not usually required for an IVF cycle. Embryo freezing is not included.
Payment of the $8243 to University Women's HealthCare must be made before your appointment with an IVF Nurse Coordinator. Payment may be made with credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or Discover), verifiable personal check or cashier’s check. We do not have a payment plan for the IVF procedure.
If you believe that your insurance may cover some of the costs of an IVF cycle you should speak to the Fertility Center Financial Counselor at the Fertility Center before your IVF Nurse visit. You may schedule a time to talk with a Financial Counselor when you have one of your pretreatment visits. If we are able to file with your insurance, but the insurance company has not finalized its payments when you wish to begin another cycle, you will be asked to contact your insurance company. You may not begin another cycle until you have cleared your account.
