Embryology Laboratory

Many of the procedures that are performed at the Fertility Center involve the Embryology Laboratory. We are responsible for:

  • locating and identifying eggs
  • processing semen or testicular tissue
  • inseminating the eggs, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
  • monitoring development of the embryos
  • freezing (cryopreserving) the embryos
  • assisting in the transfer of the embryos.
All embryologists are certified by the American Association of Bioanalysts and the laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
