Dr. Nakajima,

In June 2005 my husband and I were told by Dr. Vasquez that we would not be able to get pregnant unless we had IVF. It was one of the saddest days of my life. I felt like any hope we had of being parents had vanished.

After the initial shock and sadness had passed we knew that we were not ready to give up. My husband worked a second job and we saved every extra penny we made to one day try IVF. After over a year of preparing I called your office to schedule our first appointment. When we met with you I finally felt like there was someone on our side and willing to help. When you told us on our second appointment that after reviewing all of our results you recommended lUI three times before we tried IVF, I was shocked. We had done lUI with our OB/GYN and I dreaded three months of disappointing results. We did our first cycle of lUI in September 2006 and I never really let myself entertain the idea that it could work. Two weeks later I went to my doctor for a blood test and a pelvic exam so I could get another prescription for the Femara. She called me later that day at work to tell me I was pregnant. Our lives have not been the same since that phone call. On June 19th I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

I keep your number in my cell phone and one of your cards in my wallet, so that if l hear of someone having difficulty trying to conceive I can share our story with them. We drove to Louisville ready to spend our life's savings and got pregnant for less than four hundred dollars. Your decisions and the treatment we received at your office made our dreams come true. We will never be able to thank you enough for your compassion and your knowledge.
